Power is always cheaper under public ownership. Since privatisation of Australia's electricity began, prices have risen by 183%.

Currently, Queenslanders have among the cheapest power in Australia because our electricity assets are public.

New South Wales and South Australia residents pay the most for their power, with NSW’s power assets partly privatised and SA’s are fully privatised.

Recently, Queenslanders received a $1000 credit on household electricity bills. These rebates are only possible with a publicly owned power network.

Privatisation always means higher prices for households.
